What this archive represents

Not a wall of borrowed credibility.

The portfolio is designed to document real creative work without inventing clients, exaggerating results or publishing private material.

FILE 01

Show the actual contribution.

Every project entry should explain whether Local Nomad handled recording, production, editing, mixing, mastering or release preparation.

01
FILE 02

Credit the people who made the record.

Artists, writers, performers, producers and engineers should be identified accurately when public permission exists.

02
FILE 03

Protect unreleased and private work.

Private demos, stems, client discussions and unfinished projects should not become public portfolio material without consent.

03
FILE 04

Explain the process, not only the result.

The strongest case study shows what changed, why decisions were made and how the project moved toward completion.

04

Four rooms inside the work archive.

The portfolio is organised by creative contribution rather than forcing every project into one identical presentation.

Archive / Recording

Performance Capture

Vocals, instruments, spoken audio and session performances recorded for production or release.

Archive / Production

Song Development

Arrangement, instrumentation, sound design and creative direction developed from an initial idea.

Archive / Mix

Mix and Master

Projects shaped through editing, balancing, spatial design, dynamics and final mastering.

Archive / Release

Release Direction

Completed masters supported by artwork direction, metadata, platform preparation and release planning.

Typical routes through the studio.

These are production models, not invented client stories. Each real project receives its own scope.

Route A Demo to production

The song exists. The world does not.

A rough vocal, chord progression or demo enters the studio and develops into a complete arrangement.

01 Demo and reference review
02 Structure and arrangement
03 Production and overdubs
04 Mix and final master
Input: demo Output: master
Route B Recorded session

The performance needs a frame.

Existing vocals or instruments are edited, organised and shaped into a coherent production.

01 Session preparation
02 Editing and comping
03 Additional production
04 Mix and delivery
Input: session Output: final mix
Route C Release preparation

The music is finished. The release is not.

An approved mix moves through mastering, metadata organisation and platform-ready preparation.

01 Mix and technical review
02 Master preparation
03 Credits and metadata
04 Release-file delivery
Input: mix Output: release
Before and after

Improvement should not erase identity.

The purpose of production is not to make every recording identical. It is to reveal the strongest version of the specific performance and song.

01 Reduce technical distractions
02 Preserve useful emotional movement
03 Strengthen the musical hierarchy
04 Improve translation across playback systems
05 Keep the artist recognisable
How future case studies are documented

A case file needs more than cover art.

Every published project should explain its scope accurately and give readers enough context to understand the work.

Initial stage Demo, recording session, mix or finished master Context
Studio scope Recording, production, editing, mixing or mastering Required
Creative brief Artist direction, references and intended result Purpose

Beyond the audio file

A finished record needs a visible identity.

Where the project requires it, the studio and label workflow can connect the finished sound with its artwork, credits, platform presentation and release route.

01 Release title and visual direction
02 Artwork concept and format planning
03 Credits and metadata organisation
04 Spotify and SoundCloud presentation
05 Release timeline and communication
Publishing a project

Your work does not enter the portfolio automatically.

Public case studies should be based on permission, accurate information and a clear agreement about what can be shown.

A studio booking, music submission or collaboration does not automatically grant permission to publish private files or project details.

Portfolio notes

Before entering the archive.

Why are there no invented artist testimonials?

Testimonials and client claims should only be published when they come from real, verifiable collaborators who have approved their use.

Will every completed project appear here?

No. Some work may remain private, unreleased or confidential. Publication depends on permission and relevance to the portfolio.

Can anonymous work be shown?

A project may be presented without naming the artist only when the format has been agreed and no confidential information is disclosed.

Can before-and-after audio be published?

Only when the relevant rights holders approve both versions and their public use does not expose private or unfinished material.

Does Local Nomad work in one genre?

No. Project fit depends on the music, required service and creative direction rather than a single fixed genre.

How can I start a similar project?

Send your current version, explain the required service and include references, timing and the intended release outcome.

Your project can begin before it looks impressive.

Send the demo, session, unfinished mix or release plan. The portfolio comes after the work.
